Verde is celebrating our 21st year of partnering with communities most impacted by environmental injustices to develop solutions that create economic and collective well-being. Over those 21 years, Verde has helped transform a former landfill into a community park, acquired a former strip club and turned that land into affordable housing, and secured over a billion dollars in investments to improve people’s lives by advocating for the Portland Clean Energy Fund and the Cully TIF District.

Today, we are helping community members by installing over 200 free and low-cost home heating and cooling systems each year, developing community solar projects that let renters and homeowners benefit from the cost savings of clean energy, and advocating for air quality, energy, water, and transportation policies.
