2025 Yard Tree Giveaway
Free Trees for Your Yard
Program Overview
Every fall, Portland residents can receive up to three free trees to plant in their yard. This can be at your home, place of worship, or business. Choose your tree and pick it up at one of our Saturday events from late September through early November. If you need help, Portland Parks and Rec also offers free delivery and planting.
The goal is to grow a healthier, greener city—together. Urban Forestry offers large native evergreens, heat-tolerant trees for hotter summers, and some medium-sized tree for smaller yards. Whatever your space, there’s a tree for you!
