Carolina Iraheta Gonzalez currently works with the City of Portland, Safe Routes to School program. She works with school communities to improve the walking and biking conditions around schools so that students may safely walk, bike and roll to school. She is passionate about social justice and has worked with many local non-profits over the past 15 years. She is a Cal Berkeley alum, the 2010 recipient of the City of Portland’s Youth Champion Award and is the 2015 Women in Transportation Seminar Rosa Parks Diversity and Leadership Award recipient. She has lived in Portland her whole life and enjoys the many quirks that the City has to offer.
