Verde enterprises hire crew members from affordable housing communities, nonprofit job placement programs, and other disadvantaged communities.  If you are interested in a job at Verde Landscape or Verde Energy, each enterprise has its own way of doing things:

Training

Verde Landscape and Verde Energy make deep investments in each Crew Member through a sequenced training program that prepares each Crew Member for success in a future role as small business owner, supervisor at a for-profit business, or the experienced Crew Leader who trains and supervises the next group of Crew Members.  Verde pays all costs for Crew Members’ training and licensing, including wages for time spent in training.

Wages and Benefits

Verde Landscape. Verde Landscape's wages are above average for the landscape industry. All Crew Members start at $12/hour. A Regular, full-time Crew Member gets a raise to $14/hour at Month 13, and a raise to $15/hour at Month 25.

Verde Energy. Verde Energy's wages are based on prevailing wages for weatherization work.  A Verde Energy Crew Member starts at $15.23/hour, gets a raise to $15.65/hour at Month 13, and a raise to $16/hour at Month 25.

Building Incomes, Building Wealth

Verde seeks partners to develop and implement asset-building programs for enterprise Crew Members. We would like to offer Crew Members the chance to participate in Individual Development Account Programs focused on homeownership, business ownership, or education.
