Verde's History

Verde was established on October 19, 2005, and was recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS in October 2006. Verde resulted from Hacienda CDC's Sustainable Development Program, a disciplined effort to identify an environmental business opportunity appropriate for Hacienda CDC's resident community. Hacienda CDC, an affordable housing provider, sponsors 321 units of affordable housing in NE Portland's Cully Neighborhood, available exclusively to households earning at/below 60% median family income. Most residents are from Mexico and other Latin American countries.
